The gallery exhibits contemporary works of both emerging and established artists working in various mediums including paintings, photography, jewelry, scarves, encaustics and sculpture. We also have unique cards for all occasions. Exhibits change monthly on the third Thursday of each month. Membership in the gallery is open to all members of the larger MIVAL organization.
Our goal is to offer gallery space and visibility for MIVAL members as well as increase awareness and appreciation of the visual arts to our community through classes and demonstrations.
The gallery opened in November, 2009 and operates in the spirit of a cooperative, offering members the opportunity to exhibit their work, as well as share ideas, work together, and teach. MIVAL Members show their work at the gallery as well as other venues on Mercer Island.
